This sales development toolkit was developed following global research as a solution to identified trends. Designed to create higher performing sales teams, Sales Managers can use 2 highly participative board games and 62 coaching sessions in bite-sized chunks during sales meetings.
Developed and evolved over a ten year period, two factors were instrumental behind the development of The Sales Activator®. Firstly, through the development solutions that were provided to clients, a range of interactive board games were purchased by different Shell Operating Companies and Post Office Counters. These games were so successful that they were evolved for Barclays Bank to include the addition of coaching cards, so that Team Leaders could provide immediate coaching for development areas highlighted through the game play sessions.
During this period of time, commercial trends placed the spotlight on a number of issues that organisations were experiencing that prevented them from achieving a sustainable improvement in their sales results. In conjunction with Nightingale Conant a massive piece of research was conducted with 2663 organisations globally where the five biggest issues preventing sales growth were identified. One of these issues arose from organisations promoting their top producing sales person into the role of sales manager who then floundered in their new job role. It appeared that there was a real need to provide sales managers with resources to develop their sales teams.
These two factors combined resulted in The Sales Activator®, a development toolkit containing two board games and 62 mini-sales coaching sessions, for sales managers to use for forty five minutes at the end of every sales meeting.
The Sales Activator® quickly received acclaim from organisations around the globe and was the first international product to be accredited by International Professional Sales Association. Awareness of The Sales Activator® is continuing to build rapidly and is now also available in Spanish.
The vast array of content used within The Sales Activator® was developed by Nikki Owen and has been inspired by established sales experts and NLP techniques.
